Percutaneous procedures are becoming the primary type of cardiac intervention, with a main drawback: clinicians work “almost blind” and thus need to rely on live imaging to get information on the intracavitary anatomy. Importantly, current technologies of live intra-procedural imaging provide few confusing and misleading information on the anatomical target to the operator.
To overcome this limitation and improve the benefits of percutaneous approaches, there is a high demand for new technological solutions in the field of medical imaging.
Artiness tackles this challenging environment by developing software solutions for the holographic rendering of patient-specific anatomies, relying on cutting-edge methods and algorithms to extract information from standard medical imaging as well as on the expertise of the co-founders in the area of medical imaging technologies.
The innovative use of holograms, i.e., augmented reality, allows to compensate for the lack of direct vision by “augmenting” the informative contents of imaging data. Artiness solution can truly revolutionize the field of percutaneous procedures, reducing time and costs related to the intervention and decreasing the dose of radiations and contrast agents in the hemodynamic room.
